Gday all new member here just made my first lure and testing today. I know it’s just a prototype but I couldn’t resist painting it.

Looks great.
Probably not the 'style' of lure I'd expect someone to start with in Townsville - but they all work! |

She swam well floated backward at angle cast well. I am really quite surprised i used Zap zpoxy 5 minute for the screw wire eyes and bib ( I couldn’t get 30 minute) also pinned the bib and top coated with zpoxy finishing resin. Has anyone used this? Dried a bit yellow and didn’t quite flow well. I can’t find dev on 2 ton in townsville May have to order on line. Also used circuit board for the bib.

Thanks for all the comments. Yesterday got the better of me and I made a new shape. The epoxy top coat went on heaps better than my first attempt. Swims and dives really well too. The eye ran a bit. I used a sharpie. Should have used paint. All a learning curve.

Fantastic for your second attempt, but yes, it's all a learning curve and it looks like you are currently ahead of that curve.
