Looking at identifying this lure. It's a shape that has been reproduced in plastic a few times, Bomber made a plastic copy as did Corico (Chinese) and I think an Australian company.

It's definitely timber.

I call them Water Dogs...

A renowned Newcastle/Hunter maker "Xerox" or Barry Smith also made a timber version.

I'm leaning towards early Whopper Stopper Hellbender by Fred Eder. He did the forward facing eyes, later plastic ones had central pupils. This pic is of my Hellbenders, left are Magnum US made, Top right is a Heddon now made in Asia. Bottom right is the smaller model and the "G" finish model has a different towpoint, not marked Luxon but USA...
