For all members who may have known Garry aka 'Big Foot' Simpson. Sadly Garry passed away suddenly last Fri. the 6th of Dec.
I personally had known Garry for 35yrs. a fine man and fisherman.
He was only 60yrs, too young.
For all Darwin members, news of memorial service will be announced shortly in the NT News possibly in Alex Julius' regular Thurs. column.
Regards, Tony Bartlett (Seaweed).

RIP Garry.    I’m I right in believing he was Russell Simpson’s son?

Don't know any of his immediate family Marty except his wife Julie and sons Jack and Bryce, sons born in Darwin as were mine. I do know Garry moved to the NT about 35yrs. ago from Tamworth NSW. I first met him when we were both members of the Darwin Game Fishing Club mid 80's.

Everything you said about Garry fits in with what Russell told me about his son that worked for Alex, Russell himself was a very good fly fisherman for natives around the Tamworth area.
