Per sent me some Danish assistance, due to me experiencing some tough times on the water over the past few months.

He thought it might be the tools I have been playing with

Thanks for the thought Per.

Fully dressed, and Blessed by the Quarantine Service, Drug Free they are now ready for the challenges up here.

I think I may need to twig the split ring to allow the hooks to move around freely.

Several local (Tassie ) lures returned  must have got lost whilst holidaying oversea

Thanks P.J.

NO sun second day Fog and low cloud , but needed to take some pictures.
Regards John

Chris i actually have some EU Beech that have being SMOKED and smell very much off it
It comes from a Window/Door factory, and the proces is to prevent the wood from rotting
Maybe I should try to send some Lures off that to AU. Just to see how it would go LOLLOLLOL

Second trip with p.j's. lure
Had the hook set up the wrong one on the first trip.

Slightly clearer water as well today, till the wind  came straight in then first five yards discoloured
badly.

Per   We have the metals  Thumbs Up Thumbs UpThumbs UpThumbs Upworking well down here as well.

Rough as guts today , plenty of white water  in the strong gusts then slight easing, then deep troughs to contend with.

Put the lure under pressure. Had to submerge the top half of the rod in the water to keep the lure under the deep troughs.

Very satisfying  the final result , only got the one hit, before dark. had three coats on  , full waders and glove liners with neoprene outer gloves, overall comfy in the conditions, snow falling on the higher peaks.

(Picture transfer around 14 seconds, really fast now)

Fish turned as I was taking the photo further highlighting  p.j's. lure.

Just on 2 1/2 kgs with very little in the stomach.  Just over 55cm long  Single hook used

Regards John

Should have mentioned Fish drug free as well.
