Looks like a nice mullet shape for NT. The toothy fish up north will destroy your beautiful paint work.

When are you going mate? Was talking to Chris Hurt and George Voukolos Jr. this morning in town, they reckon it's been a poor wet (I've been away and out of touch). They said the runoff is non existent at present. Unless we get a big low over the next month, it'll be sad this year. If you're going with a guide this will increase your odds. Sorry to be a bearer of bad news.
Seaweed.

Looks like TC Nathan has put some rain into the systems.  On the plus side you should be able to get most places.  Good luck witht he trip and hope you get another iconic 110cm Australian sport fish to go with the cod.

Where going Borrloola/King ash and another spot that I don't know what it's called, fishing is part of the trip but getting away with some old mate's some of l haven't seen for 10/15 years is part of it to, it's pretty hot up there so we'll have to keep well hydrated

Not a lot of rain outside of the cyclone, gove got one day of good rain from it, about 120mm, in darwin they predicted falls over 100mm, but nothing at all as of 5pm today.....worst march I can recall, and that backs up a below average feb and a just average jan.....nov and december were non events.
Fish it like the build up, look for clean water (cleaner than the rest) and birds watching the water. Check out rock bars and headlands near the mouth of systems, rocks with mangroves near by. Fish the points on low tides, and back of bays on the highs, im talking outside the river systems, you have more sucess.
cheers dave.

nice lures btw, I really like the last photo!

Bing Bong is near there with a zinc loading terminal- a very bumpy track to the right at the terminal takes you to Mule Creek - great estuary fishing and easy access to the channel cut for the zinc ships which makes for easy access to reefs and deeper water - only jealous just a little bitCryCryCryLOL
Martin-

you don't havta be pretty to fish

Thanks for the info fellas, it will still be a good trip even without fish, some fish will only make it better, we'll try hard for the first 4 days, if not much luck we'll just have to rehydrate for the next 7 days of the trip
