Other than hold grubs to jigs, here is an extension of the idea to hold soft plastic trailers to jigs.

First off, I use a zip tie to attach skirts to jigs and spinnerbaits. If you shape a wire to be held in place by the zip tie, you now have a trailer keep that locks the trailer in place.
1. wire shaped to form an L and place to put zip


2. silicone skirt and trailer keeper in position before placing on jig




3. end product


Fish do not care that you are using a zip tie rather than thread or wire. I get 30 for a buck!
