Simon we used to sell them at Jack's years ago but they did not do as well as his other patterns although they did swimm great at up to 15kts.I have seen very few in the last 15 years of that bibless.

Hi Barry,

The one that's in the red vacuum pack, do you know roughly what years they where packaged like that? I have 3 like that, unopened, 2 little ones and one bigger Barra Bait. I'll dig them out later and take some pics.

Crikey those vacuum packs used to tick me off. How annoying were they to get the lures? In the end I'd just use a pallet knife to cut the plastic around the lure and rip it out, the only probs I had then was when the plastic wrapped around the rings or hooks and melted together as it shrank. Mind you they did hold the lures very securely.

Captaincranky is after my unpainted trout bait , and I would be surprised if any=one has a barra bait still in the original plastic bag packaging , It has never touched the water and has only been handled   on a few occasions

I've always felt that the packet doubles the price of the lure. I'd say in this case it adds a zero.
