Here is an old article that includes myself Rava and Pop. (aka Gary and Ron) unlike me they appear a bit older now than the photo.I believe Reel deal should have memories of this one as well

Methinks the inagural Nelson Bay Trailerboat comp was around April May 1995 and the 1st Akuna Bay followed Oct '95.
I walked away from it around 1999 when others wanted to make it a cash cow. wadey |

The year was 1994, no green ginger but was green after a night on Hahn ice with wadey trying to win a t shirt it was really agreat time my boys still hold delusional beliefs about the Great Mr Wade.
Wrote a follow up to this article on how to fish plastic prawns in trailer boat fishing Dec. 94. Many have tried to get my tips on looking great in a V distress sheet but some things can not be shared you had to be there. |

Was a great time, and went on for a few years. Wadey never made it to the photos. Probably were the real winners as we still have trips together and most have a story attached. Great fishing mates great fishing and the stories that go with them is there any reason to explain what and why we do what we do!

Totally agree - but what goes on tour.. stays on tour....
As for a revival, I hear Flacco Rava, Flapper Jordy and Powerful Powelly are heading down this way next month to eat and drink themselves silly. Guys I have just organised a taser totin' pit bull to be stationed at the door of the Fish Room and the cellar door. Bring it on - rare beef and duriff for Travers, garlic pumpkin just for Flacco, Dave and I will order in takeaway as I don't trust the chef... wadey |

Sounds like there would be every reason to be worried, especially feeding Rava garlic and pumpkin and travelling in the same car.
