Hi all, Picked up a couple of Heddon Dying Flutters recently to give a go on the bass, but given their age, the propellers on them are no longer spinning freely. What's the best way to clean them up? Solvents, sandpaper, etc.? Cheers, Kaidon |

Usually just bent out of shape or tightened up too much. Just blow on them and they should spin freely. Find one that is free and adjust the rest to the same pitch and clearances.

Dying Flutters are a top Bass lure and I use a few old ones on Barra as well. This one is due for a clean up. I'll strip the parts and soak in a mild acid solution and then clean the props with a scourer and Jiff.

Replacement props are available if they are too far gone. I get mine from Janns Netcraft in the States.

Yeah it does't look as through there is too much of a pitch on those props like Ian said. Try twisting them a little.
