I'd like to find out what you use too.
I have a 6wt floating set up, I reckon will handle em OK.

they used to Bob but not here in straylia, they're basically a fluffy marabou tail with few strands of crystal flash then dubbed body with tinsel ribs and a large henhackle tied so that it slopes back slightly.its a bit like a big wooly worm pattern.i tie mine with dumbbell eyes.most of mine have purple marabou, black dubbed body with silver or gold tinsel ribs and a grey grizzle hen hackle.if you pm me your address i'll send you some old mate

they recon flylines with a floating mainline and a sinking clear tip are the best for the Bass now ,I recon they'd go well with flatty fishing too

Those "Surf Striker"foam or balsa poppers with a feather that you buy cheaply from Kmart has also caught me a lot of bass off the surface.
