A friend of a friend produced a tackle tray with 17 asstd spinners for me to see. These spinners were given to him 30 years ago by native Canadians after a 2 day hunting trip in Canada. No markings on the blades- these are all handmade. Some were quiet weighty and a range of sizes. Thought someone may be interested in seeing them. By the way he wouldn't part with them - he treasured them.

Interesting lures Deb Thumbs Up

I believe they would be trolled for both trout and walleye.

The swivels on them date to at least as early as 1895. Here's part of an Enterprise Mfg (early Pflueger) catalog from 1895 Wink

Thankyou for that info Dave. I was fascinated by the range he had and wished after he left that I'd taken a few more photos. The hunting guides told him he'd never get anything like these spinners and he had used and lost a couple, then put them away for safe keeping.     Debbie D
